Mega Minor Torch

This summer I purchased a Nortel Mega Minor lampworking torch.  I used the profit from my glass fusing sales and set up a very tiny workstation in the laundry room with the propane outside.  There isn't much space next to my bonnie glo kiln, barely just enough.

Making a bead

I don't have any bead making experience, but how hard could it be.  Well it has turned out to be very easy to make a bead and very difficult to make a bead that is symmetrical.

It is also pretty awesome.

Thailand

We chose to visit Bangkok and Chiang Mai in Thailand.  This trip was one of our best vacations, we might even go back over Thanksgiving.  In Chiang Mai we had the chance to ride elephants and tuk tuks.  The tuk tuks are pseudo-motorcycle taxis that I enjoyed way more than the elephants.

Cece fed the elephants bunches of baby bananas before their bath.

We also took cooking lessons at Thai Orchid cooking school.  We learned to make chicken satay and spring rolls and seafood soup and more.

Another photo opportunity at the Grand Palace.

We have many, many, many more photos in Dirk's picasso album - email us for the link.

Happy Birthday Cece!!

I think we celebrated Cece's birthday for more than a week and there's still more to come!  Here are some photos of the cake.

New Jewelry Class

I've been teaching glass fusing classes at the community center on Kadena Air Force Base.  They seem pretty popular and recently I've had some requests for a fused glass jewelry class.  Here are pictures of the class samples.
